🌙 Night Routine (Repair + Restore)

Step

Purpose

HappyBugBeauty Product

Notes & How to Use

1. Makeup / Sunscreen Remover

Remove SPF, makeup, and surface grime

Massage into dry skin, then follow with your cleanser.

2. Cleanser

Deep cleanse pores and residuals

As in morning, with gentle motions.

3. Toner / Mild Elixir

Prep for actives

Helps calm the skin and restore pH.

4. Treatment / Active Serum

Address skin concerns

Use strong actives (glycolic, retinol) only 2–3 nights per week. On other nights, use gentler serums like niacinamide.

5. Face Oil / Elixir

Nourish & seal hydration

Use 1–2 drops, warm in hands, press into face (especially on dry zones).

6. Night Moisturizer / Cream

Lock in hydration overnight

Use as final layer; if skin is dry, layer oil + moisturizer combination.

🗓 Weekly / Occasional Extras

  • Exfoliation (1–2× per week): Use Glycolic Acid Serum in place of your active night serum, or another gentle exfoliant.

  • Mask / Deep Treatment (1× per week): Use a clay, botanical, or sheet mask (vegan, cruelty-free) to cleanse or deeply hydrate.

  • Patch Testing: Always test new actives (retinol, glycolic) behind the ear or lower jaw for a few nights before full-face use.

  • Avoid Overlapping Strong Actives: If using retinol one night, skip glycolic or other harsh treatments that same night.
